Effective Already! CMR Restriction in Textiles (English)

REACH ANNEX XVII has been amended in October 2018 to include a new entry on restriction of CMR in textiles. The products affected by this new regulation includes, but not limited to apparels, footwear, toys, furniture, home textiles etc. The transition period was over and then the new requirements became effective on 1st November, 2020. Unlike the previous amendments of ANNEX XVII that usually only regulate a single substance group at each time, the CMR restriction of textiles targets 33 substances all together that can be categorized into multiple groups with distinct chemical properties and usages.
