Procurement function in most industries has now turned their focus from transactional to the fulfilment of higher environmental and social standards.

Since the publication of the ISO Standard 20400 on Sustainable Procurement in year 2017, many companies have started actively pushing their sourcing and purchasing functions to take sustainable criteria into their procurement cycles.

This seminar will bring you the latest developments in sustainable procurement as well as practical issues that buyers and merchandizers often face in order to achieve the balance between value for money and bringing true benefits to the community as a whole in terms of environmental, social and economical.

Ms. Beryl Cheng

Ms. Beryl Cheng is a seasoned practitioner in purchasing, merchandizing and supply chain management with over 20 years of experience in the field. She has served a number of MNCs, including General Electric, CB Richard Ellis and CitiBank N.A., as well as in the public sector including WKCDA and HKEAA. She has also worked in several SME’s with a wealth of experiences in sourcing, procurement and supply chain management across the border.

Beryl is a professional trainer/lecturer in the Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education, School of Continuing & Professional Education, City University of Hong Kong (CityU SCOPE), Hang Seng University of Hong Kong, and The Women’s Foundation.

She is qualified Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF), a Green Belt in project management and with a Master Degree in Global Supply Chain Management.
