With strong and rapid development of its automotive industry, China has the largest manufacturing and sales volume of vehicles in the world for the 8th consecutive year. Noticeable progress has been made in aspects of the country’s automotive industry such as its comprehensive strength, industrial structural transformation, and support capability of the spare parts industry. At the same time, China has been the largest market for the world’s new energy vehicles for two successive years, and it leads the world in new energy car development.

In the report of the 19th National Congress of the CPC, the Party and the central government placed greater emphasis on green development, which would entail continuous promotion and greater utilization of new energy vehicles, and further structural transformation of the traditional fuel vehicle industry. In addition, as scientific innovation is now considered the soul of enterprises, more efforts are bound to be made in this regard.
